KUNDALINI YOGA CHAKRA SERIES
Study the chakras through ancient yogic sets that are specifically designed to open and strengthen the chakra energy system. We will focus on 1 chakra per week, starting with the root chakra at the base of the spine.
What is a chakra?
Yogic philosophy teaches 2 types of anatomy: 1) Physical anatomy and physiology (how our body is made, what it's made of, and how it works together). 2) Energetic anatomy (the systematic workings of our energy systems, and how they effect us physically). A chakra is part of our energetic anatomy.
In Sanskrit, the word “chakra” means “disk” or “wheel” and refers to the energy centers in your body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs. To function at their best, your chakras need to stay open, or balanced. If they get blocked, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
There are seven main chakras that run along your spine. Starting at the root, or base, of your spine and extending to the crown of your head. The eight chakra is your aura, or space directly around your body (within 9ft around you).
Open and strengthen your chakra system for a more healthy and vibrant you.
